build a life of exploration, education & adventure

Over the last ten years I’ve figured out how to make adventures fit into my lifestyle — and sometimes, how to fit my lifestyle into my adventures. And I don’t mean the most extreme adventures. Sometimes adventure can be slowing down in a far off place, or getting off the beaten path in a well known place.

I hope to offer you inspiration, stories, and guides for remote and backyard adventures alike.

Have a look around, get inspired, and gear up. We’re heading out!

Exploring every season

A Summer Solstice in the Southern Hemisphere

Ft. Christmas in the tropics, taking it slow in the summer heat at the farm, and letting joy burst out from inside of me.

Finding Solitude in a Desert Winter

Ft. hazy peaks, giant cacti, and a different campsite every night.

Finding connections in remote places

It wasn’t an all at once knowing – over many years and many types of exploring, I realized I wanted to get off the beaten path, like really off. And not just off the trail. But far off the map from where I currently find myself. To remote places that I never knew, with only had one way to change that. By going there myself.

Most recently: the land of many peaks.

Where I’m still thinking of

Despite being a neighboring state, New Mexico can feel like a distant land. It’s a fine reminder that adventure and inspiration can be found anywhere, especially in the abundant natural beauty right here in our backyard.
